Rat Glutamate Receptor, Ionotropic, N-Methyl-D-Aspartate 1 ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com kit is a sandwich ELISA (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat NMDAR1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for NMDAR1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-NMDAR1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The optical density is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.062 ng/ml. The standard protocol is performed over approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only, not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.

Recovery values provided by the manufacturer average 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity data are also reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
