Rat Glucose Transporter 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glucose Transporter GLUT4 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Glucose Transporter GLUT4; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-GLUT4 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a colour change, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.238 ng/ml with a measurable range of 0.625–40 ng/ml, and the assay is completed in 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery across five replicates was 80–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 ranged from 74% to 108% across the same sample types. The kit contains a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30× wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
