Rat Glucose Transporter 1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glucose Transporter GLUT1 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a capture antibody specific for Glucose Transporter GLUT1 pre-immobilised on the plate surface.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the target analyte binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-GLUT1 detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, with reported sensitivity of 0.49 ng/ml and assay range of 1.25-80 ng/ml.

The kit includes the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported recovery ranges are 80%-102% for serum, 81%-100% for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% for heparin plasma, with linearity demonstrated across serial dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16.
