Rat Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, onto which an antibody specific for Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase Antibody is applied, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, which produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the analyte concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The kit has a stated product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.116 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) averages 91% (range 80%–102%), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%–100%), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
