Rat Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G-6-Pase) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for G-6-Pase pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-G-6-Pase Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader, with the concentration of G-6-Pase calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.65 ng/ml and a working range of 1.56-100 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate, with kit components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Manufacturer-supplied recovery data indicate 80-102% for serum (n=5, average 91%), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%).
