Rat Glucagon Like Peptide 1 ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the quantitative in vitro determination of rat Glucagon Like Peptide 1 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with Glucagon Like Peptide 1 antigen. During the incubation, analyte in the sample or standard competes with the immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Glucagon Like Peptide 1 antibody. Unbound antibody is removed by washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, and TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the intensity of yellow inversely proportional to the amount of Glucagon Like Peptide 1 in the sample.

The stated assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.23 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 2 h 30 min.
