Rat Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for GFAP pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-GFAP Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, with detection via TMB substrate read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is <6.5 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery has been evaluated in serum (average 91%, range 80%-102%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81%-100%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80%-89%, n=5). Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
