Rat Glial Cell Line Derived Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glial Cell Line Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and employs the sandwich immunoassay technique. Standards and test samples are added to the wells where GDNF is captured by the immobilized antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-GDNF Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a coloured product that is read by absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported standard curve range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 29 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Recovery performance has been evaluated in serum (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Dilutional linearity ranges across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions are also reported for each of these sample types.
