Rat Gamma-Secretase Activating Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat gamma Secretase Activating Protein in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. A 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for the target; standards and samples are added and the captured target is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-gamma Secretase Activating Protein Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Stated sensitivity is <0.113 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, detection is colorimetric and the platform is a pre-coated microplate. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Manufacturer-reported recovery (n=5) is: serum 80% - 102% (average 91%), EDTA Plasma 81% - 100% (average 90%) and Heparin Plasma 80% - 89% (average 84%). Reported values at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions are given for serum, EDTA Plasma and Heparin Plasma (n=5): serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA Plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; Heparin Plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
