Rat Galectin 9 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Galectin 9/Gal-9 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Galectin 9/Gal-9 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 9/Gal-9 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The resulting colour is read at 450nm in a microplate reader, with the intensity of yellow proportional to the amount of Galectin 9/Gal-9 captured.

The assay has a sensitivity of <35 pg/ml and a quantitative range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Validation data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Undiluted sample recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Linear dilution performance was reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for all three sample matrices.
