Rat Galectin 7 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Galectin 7. The assay is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. It uses a pre-coated microplate platform with a colourmetric detection method, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The standard curve covers a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a stated sensitivity of 0.049 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across these sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Detection relies on a biotinylated anti-Galectin 7 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the resulting absorbance is proportional to the Galectin 7 concentration and is quantified against the standard curve.
