Rat Galanin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Galanin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with detection on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Sample or standard Galanin competes with immobilised antigen on the plate for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Galanin antibody; signal is generated via an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is inversely proportional to the Galanin concentration of the sample.

The reported product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.12 pg/ml, and the assay is completed in 2 hours 30 minutes. Recovery and dilution-linearity data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers.
