Rat Galactose-1-Phosphate Uridylyltransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Galactose-1-Phosphate Uridylyltransferase (GALT) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit reports an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml. Recovery has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with average recoveries of 91% (serum, n=5, range 80–102%), 90% (EDTA plasma, n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% (heparin plasma, n=5, range 80–89%) across the dilution series tested.

Following sample addition and incubation with a biotinylated anti-GALT antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added and the reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product after addition of stop solution whose absorbance is proportional to the GALT captured in the well. Components comprise the lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
