Rat Focal Adhesion Kinase ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for FAK is pre-coated onto a microplate, and captured FAK is detected using a biotinylated anti-FAK antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose intensity is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; FAK concentration is then calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4h 30m. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across multiple dilutions. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
