Rat Fibronectin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fibronectin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

An antibody specific for Fibronectin is pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and samples are added, then the wells are washed and incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-Fibronectin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to produce a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the Fibronectin concentration and is quantified against a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <0.254 ng/ml, the assay range is 0.625–40 ng/ml, and reported sample recovery averages are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
