Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat KGF/FGF-7 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate and a biotinylated anti-KGF/FGF-7 detection antibody, with signal generated through an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of KGF/FGF-7 is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

The assay has a working standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.8 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been demonstrated at 80–102% in serum (n=5), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% in heparin plasma (n=5), with linearity confirmed across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in each matrix.

Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8-well strips), lyophilised standard (2 vials), detection solution A (120 µl), detection solution B (120 µl), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Storage conditions vary by component, with most stored at -20°C while the wash buffer, TMB substrate and stop solution are stored at +4°C.
