Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 6 (FGF6) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a sandwich format, with detection based on a Biotinylated Anti-FGF6 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <6.6 pg/ml with a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Recovery averages were 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with measured values ranging from 74% to 108% across the conditions tested. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
