Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 (FGF 23). The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an immobilised antibody specific for FGF 23. Standards and samples are added, followed by Biotinylated Anti-FGF 23 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 6.2 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Reported recovery values (n=5) are: serum 83-100% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 90-103% (average 96%), and heparin plasma 90-99% (average 94%). Reported linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 ranges from 72% to 108% across the tested sample types.
