Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a Biotinylated Anti-FGF18 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate detection system. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported assay sensitivity is <5.9 pg/ml with a quantitative range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and the protocol takes approximately 4h 30m to complete. Manufacturer validation data reports average recovery of 91% for serum (n=5, 83-100%), 96% for EDTA plasma (n=5, 90-103%) and 95% for heparin plasma (n=5, 89-102%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was reported within 79-110% for serum, 73-109% for EDTA plasma and 77-110% for heparin plasma.

Supplied components include lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A and Detection Solution B (120 µl each), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and five adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
