Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat FGF13 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for FGF13 has been immobilised; standards and samples are added, and captured FGF13 is detected with a biotinylated anti-FGF13 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. Bound HRP activity is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and compared with a standard curve to determine FGF13 concentration.

Colourimetric readout is supported by a sensitivity of 5.4 pg/ml and a quantitative range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Lyophilised standards are reconstituted and prepared as a 1:2 dilution series from 1000 pg/ml down to 15.6 pg/ml using the included sample dilution buffer. Reported sample recovery averages 91% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma, with linearity demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in each of these matrices. The complete assay protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and include the pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers.
