Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 11 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 11 (FGF11) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for FGF11 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-FGF11 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and FGF11 concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The quantitative assay has a working range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.2 pg/ml, and a total run time of 4 h 30 min. In spike-and-recovery testing, average recovery was 91% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader.
