Description
From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fibroblast Activation Protein alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips with a colourimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.
The standard curve spans a product range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.112 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date. The procedure employs a biotinylated anti-Fibroblast Activation Protein alpha antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well.
Spike-and-recovery performance (n=5) was reported as: serum 80-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%). Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 (n=5) was: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
