Rat Ferritin, Light Polypeptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative determination of rat ferritin light chain in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for ferritin light chain pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate, with a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow colour proportional to the captured analyte, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.051 ng/ml with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well plate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Recovery values are 91% on average (range 80%–102%) for serum, 90% (81%–100%) for EDTA plasma, and 84% (80%–89%) for heparin plasma (n=5 each). Linearity at 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions spans 74%–107% for serum, 79%–108% for EDTA plasma, and 82%–105% for heparin plasma (n=5 each).
