Rat Ferritin, Heavy Polypeptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Ferritin Heavy Chain. It accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is supported by a standard range of 3.12–200 ng/ml and a reported sensitivity of 1.37 ng/ml, with the full protocol taking approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery has been characterised as 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity has been assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

The kit is reactive with rat samples only and is provided as a pre-coated microplate platform (12 × 8 well strips). Components are intended to be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
