Rat Fatty Acid Synthase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fatty Acid Synthase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-Avidin and TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Spike-and-recovery was tested in serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5), giving average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% with ranges of 80%-102%, 81%-100% and 80%-89%. Linearity of dilution was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
