Rat Fatty Acid Desaturase 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Fatty Acid Desaturase 2 (FADS2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with a biotinylated anti-FADS2 antibody and HRP-avidin detection. TMB substrate is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of FADS2 captured in each well.

Reported sensitivity is 1.38 ng/ml, with an assay range of 3.12–200 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and reagent components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The product is suitable for serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates and is intended for research use only.
