From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat H-FABP (Fatty Acid Binding Protein 3, Muscle and Heart) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for H-FABP is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and the assay uses a biotinylated anti-H-FABP detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 0.065 ng/ml and a measurable range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.
