Rat Fatty Acid Binding Protein 2, Intestinal ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat intestinal fatty acid binding protein (I-FABP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format with a biotinylated anti-I-FABP detection antibody, followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.125 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5 per matrix), average values of 91% were obtained in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same three sample matrices.
