Rat Farnesyl Diphosphate Synthase ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Farnesyl Diphosphate Synthase (FDPS/FPS) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with colourmetric detection, read on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a sensitivity of <0.057 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Sample recovery was validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with reported average recoveries of 91% (range 80–102%), 90% (range 81–100%) and 84% (range 80–89%) respectively. Dilution linearity was also assessed across these same sample types at multiple dilutions.

The assay principle employs a biotinylated anti-FDPS/FPS detection antibody followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, generating a yellow product upon addition of acidic stop solution whose intensity is proportional to FDPS/FPS concentration. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
