Rat Fabp1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Liver FABP in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. Listed under the Antibodies.com brand, the kit uses a pre-coated microplate to capture Liver FABP from standards and samples; bound antigen is detected using a biotinylated anti-Liver FABP antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that becomes yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated from a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.27 ng/ml and the working range is 0.781–50 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Recovery has been characterised for serum (n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%); dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across these sample types.
