Rat Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2 (EAAT2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The pre-coated microplate is supplied in a 12 x 8 well strip format, and the assay uses a biotinylated anti-EAAT2 detection antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the EAAT2 concentration determined against a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.058 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and the protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery in serum ranged from 80% to 102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma from 81% to 100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma from 80% to 89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was 87%–107% for serum, 79%–108% for EDTA plasma, and 82%–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
