Rat Erythropoietin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat EPO (Erythropoietin) ELISA Kit is a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro measurement of rat EPO in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids [S1]. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for EPO [C0, S1]. Captured EPO is detected with a biotinylated anti-EPO antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, and the signal is developed using TMB substrate and quantified by absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader [S1].

The assay covers a standard range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <24.2 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m [S1]. Recovery in neat serum (n=5) was 80%-102% with an average of 91%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% averaging 90%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% averaging 84% [S1]. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples [S1].
