Rat Epidermal Growth Factor ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF). It shows reactivity with rat and is suitable for measuring EGF in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) together with a biotinylated anti-EGF antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the resulting colour change read at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader. Quantitation is performed against a standard curve covering a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <11.8 pg/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
