The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, employing an antibody specific for Eph Receptor B3 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. After standards and samples are added, a Biotinylated Anti-Eph Receptor B3 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are applied, with TMB substrate producing a colour change proportional to the analyte concentration. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit offers an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.067 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.
