Rat Endoglin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of rat CD105 (also known as Endoglin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an immobilised antibody specific for CD105. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-CD105 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and CD105 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.36 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Manufacturer-reported recovery data show average recoveries of 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
