Rat Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (EG-VEGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the target is captured by an immobilised antibody specific for EG-VEGF. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-EG-VEGF Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate solution, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution.

Quantitative readout is performed by reading optical density at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with EG-VEGF concentrations calculated by reference to a standard curve. The kit provides a measuring range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 13.6 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
