Rat Elastase 3B ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Rat Elastase 3B ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Elastase 3B in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids [S1]. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and read on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance measured at 450 nm and the concentration calculated from a standard curve [S1].

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min [S1]. Reported average recovery across sample types was 91% in serum (n=5, range 83–100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 91–98%) and 94% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 90–99%) [S1]. Linearity was demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recovery across these dilutions generally falling between 74% and 109% depending on sample matrix [S1]. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date [S1].
