Rat Doublecortin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Doublecortin in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Doublecortin. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and the captured Doublecortin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Doublecortin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction: the colour change from blue to yellow after addition of an acidic stop solution is read as absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and the Doublecortin concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml and the sensitivity is <0.054 ng/ml. The protocol takes 4h 30m, with kit components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported recovery is: serum 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity data are provided for each sample type at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
