Rat Dopamine Transporter ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Dopamine Transporter in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Standards and samples are added to the coated wells, where Dopamine Transporter is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Dopamine Transporter Antibody binds the captured target, followed by addition of HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of Dopamine Transporter captured in each well and is quantified against the standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.142 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
