Rat Dopamine Receptor D2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Rat Dopamine D2 Receptor ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Dopamine D2 Receptor in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Dopamine D2 Receptor. Standards and samples are added to the wells where the target binds the immobilized capture antibody; following washing, a biotinylated anti-Dopamine D2 Receptor antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are added in sequence. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.117 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The pre-coated microplate is supplied in 12 x 8 well strip format. Validation studies reported the following recovery ranges: serum 80-102% (average 91%, n=5); EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%, n=5); and heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%, n=5).
