Rat Divalent Metal Transporter 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Divalent Metal Transporter 1 (DMT1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated antibody specific for DMT1 on a microplate; standards and samples are added, and captured DMT1 is detected using a biotinylated anti-DMT1 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the intensity of yellow colour proportional to DMT1 concentration.

The quantitative assay has a measurable range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.119 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values across n=5 samples are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is reported as 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma (n=5).

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
