Rat Dermcidin ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat DCD (Dermcidin) in tissue homogenates, serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for DCD, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-DCD Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate detection system with TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.057 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4h 30m. Recovery validation (n=5) shows average values of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
