Rat Delta Like Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat DLL4 (Delta Like Protein 4) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where DLL4 is captured by an immobilized specific antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-DLL4 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the DLL4 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.068 ng/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Validation data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery ranges: serum (n=5) 80%-102% with an average of 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% average 84%. Dilution linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum (n=5) ranging from 74% to 107%, EDTA plasma (n=5) from 79% to 108%, and heparin plasma (n=5) from 82% to 105% across dilutions.
