Rat Deiodinase, Iodothyronine, Type III ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat DIO3 ELISA Kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Deiodinase, Iodothyronine, Type III (DIO3) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for DIO3, and bound DIO3 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-DIO3 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour change is read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and DIO3 concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

Sensitivity is <0.117 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m on a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate. Spike-and-recovery in rat serum ranges from 80-102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions has been characterised for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%) with n=5 per type. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
