Description
From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Death Inducer Obliterator 1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for Death Inducer Obliterator 1 is pre-coated onto a microplate, and standards or test samples are added so the target is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Death Inducer Obliterator 1 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate addition. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured, and concentration is calculated from O.D. absorbance at 450 nm read on a colorimetric microplate reader and referenced to a standard curve.
The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.059 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported sample performance includes average recovery of 91% for serum (range 80% - 102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (81% - 100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (80% - 89%, n=5), with dilution linearity data provided across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each matrix. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
