Rat Cytoglobin ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Cytoglobin in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Cytoglobin pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; Cytoglobin present binds the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Cytoglobin Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The yellow intensity is proportional to the Cytoglobin concentration, calculated from O.D. absorbance at 450nm against a standard curve.

Sensitivity is reported as <0.27 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, with colorimetric detection on a pre-coated microplate platform. Validation data show mean recovery of 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 spans 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82-105% for heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
