Rat Cytochrome P450 11B1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat CYP11B1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The product range is 0.781–50 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.29 ng/ml (also quoted as <0.29 ng/ml).

The kit employs the sandwich immunoassay principle. Standards and samples are added to wells where CYP11B1 binds the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CYP11B1 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of CYP11B1 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.
