Rat Cystatin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Cystatin C in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for Cystatin C, followed by a biotinylated anti-Cystatin C detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and the absorbance read at 450 nm.

The stated assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.068 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Reported values for serum (n=5) are 80–102% (average 91%), for EDTA plasma (n=5) 81–100% (average 90%) and for heparin plasma (n=5) 80–89% (average 84%), with linearity data provided across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each matrix. Kit components include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed.
