Rat Connexin 43 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Connexin 43/GJA1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for Connexin 43/GJA1, and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-Connexin 43/GJA1 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour proportional to target concentration that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a quantitative range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.133 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, range 83-100%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 91-98%, average 94%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 90-99%, average 94%), and dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in each of these matrices.
