Rat Complement Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat CD21 (Complement Receptor 2) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids, with rat-specific reactivity. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and employs biotinylated anti-CD21 antibody with HRP-avidin conjugate detection. A TMB substrate produces a colour change proportional to CD21 concentration, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The full assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <0.57 ng/ml with a working assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml.

Spike-and-recovery performance averaged 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
